TEENAGER SPENDS THOUSANDS TO LIKE RONALDO

A DANISH teenager obsessed with Cristiano Ronaldo spends thousands to look
like him and regularly flies to Madrid to try to meet the star.
'Shanta Ronaldo' flies from Denmark to Spain to wait for Ronaldo for SIX HOURS while he trains, before flying home again.
Shanta even thinks that he has signed a contract for Real Madrid and that he is Ronaldo's team-mate.
Even the teen's family call him 'Cristiano Ronaldo' and he has just recently returned from a trip to the Bernabeu with his mum.
The obsessed fan has spent thousands trying to look like the star and copies the Portugese's fashion sense, hairstyle and living habits — right down to plucking his eyebrows.
Not canny... Shanta strikes some familiar poses in full Madrid merchandise

Shanta believes he has signed a contract for Real Madrid
While waiting for Ronaldo to finish training, he loiters next to his empty Audi in the player car park and eats in the Santiago Bernabeu cantine.
The wannable stated ominously: "Wherever, CR7 goes I'm with him. He even knows it himself."

When back at home, the Dane imitates Ronaldo's selfies with his son by striking carbon-copy poses with his own brother.

Uploading photos of himself pouting in the famous white jersey, he insists he has signed a Madrid contract and believes that one day he can 'become Ronaldo'.
Ronaldo's imitator copies the star's social media pics after he uploads them
In a way he is succeeding, having gained 17,000 social media fans and a cult following of his own.
When he does not get to meet Ronaldo during flights to Spain, he "visits" his team-mates — in the player car park — and calls defender Pepe his 'friend'.
But Ronaldo is the true object of the besotted teen's affections.
Speaking to the Mirror, he said: "I try to visit him as soon as possible.
"I'm already planning my next trip which is very soon."

On International Women's Day Shanta even tweeted a picture of Cristiano Ronaldo's mum with the strapline 'Mom I wish you had a beautiful International Women's Day'.
Understandably, Shanta's imitation game extends to the game itself with Shanta even adopting Ronaldo's pecular playing and running style.
But Shanta's goal-scoring still leaves alot to be desired, going by highlight compilations he uploads of himself playing.
Having reached obsessive new heights recently — including training on a medicine ball in full Madrid training gear — fans are wondering just what he is going to do next.
